Topic: A resolution to request that the Virginia Department of Transportation install “Watch for Children” signage on MILL RUN DRIVE

Topic Description:

At the request of Betsy Hostrop, a resident on Mill Run Drive (Route 1404), and with the concurrence of the Board of Supervisors and the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), “Watch for Children” signs would be installed on Mill Run Drive. These signs will be placed at locations VDOT deems appropriate.

On June 26, 2002, the Transportation Committee recommended approval of the request. 

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Adopt the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

There is no financial impact analysis required for this request.  VDOT will fund the installation of the signs.
