A Resolution to DENY SPECIAL EXCEPTION SPEX04-MA-020, a Category 20 Special Exception to Allow CONSTRUCTION OF AN ABOVE GROUND WATER STORAGE SILO
WHEREAS, the owners of the property, identified by PIN 6969-47-7043-000, have requested a Category 20 Special Exception to allow for the construction of an above ground water storage silo; and
WHEREAS, the requested Special Exception would allow the applicants to construct a water storage silo on the proposed site within the Cannon Ridge subdivisionís dedicated open space; and
WHEREAS, on April 29, 2004, the Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend denial of the Special Exception SPEX04-MA-020 to the Board of Supervisors for the following reasons:
1. The proposal for the Special Exception is not consistent with the Fauquier County Comprehensive Plan.
WHEREAS, on June 21, 2004, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing and considered the Special Exception application; and
WHEREAS, on July 19, 2004, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors continued that public hearing and concurred with the judgment of the Planning Commission; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 19th day of July 2004, That Special Exception SPEX04-MA-020, Douglas E. & Sharon Y. Darling, Owners/Applicants, be, and is hereby, denied.
