A Resolution Authorizing the County Administrator to Execute Amendment No. 002 to the Deed of Lease Between the Board of Supervisors of Fauquier County and the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Health
The Virginia Health Department seeks to change its Lease with the Board of Supervisors of Fauquier County to provide that its lease of 1,800 square feet of office property, together with the use of the common areas on the second floor of the Alice Jane Childs Building located at 320 Hospital Drive, be automatically renewed on a year-to-year basis, and provides that either the Lessee or Lessor may terminate the Lease by giving three months’ written notice to the other party. The Amendment also specifies that on June 1, which is the anniversary date of the Lease, the annual rental for any renewal term will be increased by an amount equivalent to the Consumer Price Index. The resolution authorizes the County Administrator to execute the Lease Amendment's requested action.

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
Financial Impacts Analysis:
This would raise the rent of the Health Department on June 1 of each year by an amount equivalent to the Consumer Price Index.
