A Resolution Referring to the Planning
Commission for Its Review, Comment and Recommendation, Proposed
Changes to Sections 2-503, 3-330, 3-331, 7-501 of the Fauquier
County Zoning Ordinance and Section 19-8 of the Fauquier County
Code Relating to the Provision of Public Water Within the Marshall
Service District
|
|
Topic
Description:
|
|
Currently
the Fauquier County Zoning Ordinance requires residential
developments over seven lots located within service districts to
use public water and/or sewer.
Where the public utility is not available the Zoning
Ordinance permits a landowner to obtain a special exception to be
relieved of the requirement to use public water and/or sewer.
The proposed
Ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance and County would
extend the requirement to use public water/sewer in service
districts to all industrial and commerical properties located in
the Marshall Service District.
The amendments would also extend the right to seek a
special exception to be relieved of this requirement where public
water/sewer is not available to all properties located in a
service district.
