PROCLAMATION

A PROCLAMATION TO HONOR ORMAN M. “PAT” PADGETT UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT AS MEMBER OF THE FAUQUIER COUNTY WATER AND SANITATION AUTHORITY BOARD

          WHEREAS, Orman M. “Pat” Padgett has provided faithful and dedicated service to the citizens of Fauquier County for over ten years on the Fauquier County Water and Sanitation Authority Board; and

          WHEREAS, on March 23, 1993 , Orman M. “Pat” Padgett was appointed as Cedar Run District Authority Board Member; and

          WHEREAS, Orman M. “Pat” Padgett served three terms as the Authority’s Vice-Chairman and seven terms as the Authority’s Secretary/Treasurer; and

          WHEREAS, at the beginning of his tenure, the Authority had approximately 3,200 customer accounts, operating revenues and expenses were approximately $2,400,000, and the Authority had 27 employees, including its board members; and

          WHEREAS, today the Authority has over 6,000 customer accounts, operating revenue and expenses are over $4,500,000, and the Authority has 32 employees; and

          WHEREAS, during the course of his ten years of service with the Authority, Orman M. “Pat” Padgett voted on over 200 Board resolutions; and

          WHEREAS, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors desires to express its sincerest appreciation to Orman M. “Pat” Padgett for his loyal and dependable service to the citizens of Fauquier County ; now, therefore, be it

PROCLAIMED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 21^st day of July 2003, That the Board of Supervisors does hereby honor and commend Orman M. “Pat” Padgett for his ten years of devoted service to Fauquier County ; and, be it

          PROCLAIMED FURTHER, That the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors does hereby extend its warmest gratitude and offers its heartfelt best wishes to Orman M. “Pat” Padgett in all future endeavors.
