An Ordinance Amending Section 13-51 of the Code of Fauquier County to Provide a County Decal to Retired Members of Volunteer Rescue Squads and Retired Members of Volunteer Fire Departments

Topic Description:

The Code of Virginia authorizes the County to provide a County decal at no cost to retired volunteers with at least 10 years of service in Fauquier County.  In order to do so, the County Code must be amended.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached Ordinance.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

No financial impact is associated with the scheduling of a the public hearing.  If amended, the County would not obtain $25 per decal for any retired volunteer who requests to be afforded the exemption.
