The purpose of the text amendment is to add a new definition
for fairgrounds. Currently, there is no definition for this
use and staff deemed it appropriate to amend the Zoning
Ordinance to reflect the breadth of activity conducted at
the
Fauquier Fairgrounds.

Summary
Staff Report:
|
|
Fairgrounds are a use authorized by special permit pursuant
to Zoning Ordinance Category 11, Article 3. Traditionally,
the
Fauquier Fairgrounds
has been a venue for a wide variety of activities. The
purpose of this amendment is simply to recognize and codify
such uses.
This proposed text amendment was initiated by the Planning
Commission on May 25, 2006. After a public hearing on June
29, 2006, the Planning Commission unanimously recommended
adoption.
