A ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENT TO SECTIONS 6-302 AND 5-202 TO PERMIT AS HOME OCCUPATIONS, PARTY SUPPLY SALES AND RENTALS AND TO ENACT CERTAIN STANDARDS FOR SUCH USES
WHEREAS, on April 13, 2006, the Board of Supervisors initiated this text amendment; and
WHEREAS, on June 29, 2006, after three public hearings, the Planning Commission forwarded the proposed text amendment to the Board of Supervisors recommending its denial; and
WHEREAS, on August 10, 2006, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing on this amendment; and
WHEREAS, the adoption of this text amendment would be in the spirit of the Zoning Ordinance, consistent with public convenience, general welfare, and good zoning practices, consistent with the adopted Comprehensive Plan, and is in the best interest of the citizens of Fauquier County; now, therefore, be it
ORDAINED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 10th day of August 2006, That Sections 6-302 and 5-202 be, and are hereby, amended as follows:
6-302 Permitted Home Occupations

17. Party supply sales and rentals, by special permit.
5-202 Standards for Home Occupations with Retail Sales and Services
[1 through 6 – Same]
7. Party supply sales shall not occur at the home.
