A Resolution Establishing the
Periodic Revalidation Fee for Parcels Enrolled in the
Special Assessment for Land Preservation Program

Topic Description:
Since the inception of the
Special Assessment for Land Preservation program known as
the “Land Use” program, the Board of Supervisors has
implemented periodic revalidation permitted by the Code of
Virginia.
Each locality that has adopted a
Land Use Ordinance may provide for the imposition of a
revalidation fee every sixth year. Such revalidation fee
shall not, however, exceed the application fee currently
charged by the locality.
The last time time the Board
of Supervisors imposed this fee was in 2000 for the 2001
revalidation period. |

consider adoption of the
attached resolution. |

The Current Application Fee
for entrance into the program is $60.00 plus $0.60 per acre.
