A Resolution to Authorize the Revision of Human Resources Policy 51, Travel Policies and Procedures

Topic Description:

Policy 51, Travel Policies and Procedures, of the Fauquier County Human Resources Policy Manual has been revised to update provisions contained therein, and to delete references to school employees/school administration, as the School Board has adopted a travel policy pertaining to travel by school staff. 

As this policy does not address Human Resources issues, it is proposed this policy be moved from the HR policy manual to the Administrative Policy Manual.

The revision of Policy 51, Travel Policy and Procedures, has received the endorsement of the Personnel Committee.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

Minimal fiscal impact is anticipated.  Mileage reimbursement, which is based on the State’s reimbursement rate, will increase from $0.325/mile to $0.445/mile due to increased fuel rates.
