A Resolution to Authorize Extending the Planner Career Ladder to Include Planners in the Zoning, Permitting and Inspections Division of Community Development


Topic Description: 

In 2003, the Board of Supervisors approved a Career Ladder for the four Planner positions in the Planning Division of Community Development.  The approved Career Ladder establishes four career levels for the planner positions based on detailed criteria (Associate Planner, Planner, Planner II, Senior Planner).   This request seeks to extend the same Career Ladder structure to the only other Planner positions in the department, three planner positions within the Zoning, Permitting and Inspections Division.  


Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.


Fiscal Impact Analysis: 

There are no fiscal impacts associated with extending the career ladder to cover the planner position in Zoning, Permitting and Inspections Division of Community Development.
