A Resolution to Establish the
Position of Court Services Officer |

Topic Description: |

The
Personnel Committee has endorsed the establishment of the
Court Services Officer Position.
Effective July 2009, the
Compensation Board has approved the allocation and funding
of one additional Court Services Officer for Fauquier County
Government due to an increased pretrial case load.The position responsibilities
include providing
probationary supervision for offenders; monitoring
compliance with court ordered sanctions; conducting drug and
alcohol screenings; conducting interviews and
investigations; testifying in court; preparing and
maintaining files and records; and preparing reports. |

Consider adoption of the attached resolution. |

Financial Impacts Analysis: |
|
Effective July 2009, the
General Assembly notified the Compensation Board of
additional funding for an additional Court Services Officer
position for Fauquier County Government Office of Adult
Court Services. The hiring range for the position is
$38,844.00 to $62,166.00.
