A Resolution Allowing the Filing of an Out of Turn Comprehensive Plan Amendment to the  Bealeton Service District Plan

Topic Description: 

The Board of Supervisors and the Planning Commission are currently reviewing Comprehensive Plan Amendments to the Bealeton Service District Plan to allow a mix of uses.  The Board of Supervisors is also currently considering a new Mixed-Use Zoning Ordinance.  Enhanced economic development has been discussed in the review of each of these amendments.  In light of these current discussions, other Comprehensive Plan Amendments to the Bealeton Service District Plan should be considered now, rather than waiting until the January 1, 2009 Comprehensive Plan Amendment deadline. 

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors:

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
