Topic:

A Resolution to Approve Acceptance of the Remaining 0.11 Mile of Heddings Road (State Route 794) to the Secondary System of State Highways, Cedar Run Magisterial District

Topic Description:

In January 2004, a resolution was passed by the Board of Supervisors to correct the length of road being maintained, but the length indicated in the resolution was incorrect.  The resolution reflected 0.13 miles has been maintained beyond the 1.0 mile reflected in the Virginia Department of Transportation records, but it should have been 0.11 miles.  In addition, Virginia Department of Transportation has been advised by their Central Office personnel that the resolution needs to reflect the Code Section to add the street to the system.  The previous resolution only established the road as a public street.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors:

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
