A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CREATION OF A PART-TIME, PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT POSITION WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Topic Description:

After forty years of service with Fauquier County Government, Carolyn Bowen has retired from the Department of Community Development.  Due to her many years with the County, Ms. Bowen posseses a long history of institutional and operational knowledge relating to Community Development.  In order to gain the benefit of this knowledge and have several critical projects completed, it is requested that a part-time, permanent employment position be established and filled by Ms. Bowen.  The position would carry an ending date of December 31, 2002, with the option of extension by the Board of Supervisors. 

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors:

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

Sufficient funds exist within the FY 2003 budget to support this request.
