A Resolution to Authorize Execution of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Warrenton Training Center

Topic Description:


The County has received a Memorandum of Understanding from the Warrenton Training Center which permits the County to remove the existing "dual tower" located on View Tree and to install a replacement tower which will be the central tower in the County's Public Safety Radio System.  The agreement, which is rent-free, provides for an initial term of five years with subsequent automatic renewals for one year periods thereafter.   The Training Center reserves the right to require the County to remove its tower if national security requires, but agrees to consider other reasonable accommodations prior to revocation.

Review and approval, if acceptable, of the attached Memorandum of Understanding with the Warrenton Training Center

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

The cost estimate for replacing the "dual tower" has not yet been completed, but may be available prior to the meeting date.
