Topic: 

A RESOLUTION TO INCREASE PETTY CASH FUND FROM THE CURRENT AMOUNT OF $1,500 TO $2,000

Topic Description:

The current petty cash fund is divided between the Treasurer's Office and the Finance Department. 

 - The Treasurer's petty cash fund of $1,000 is available to the departments located in or near the Court House building.  The Finance Department's petty cash fund of $500 is available  to departments located in or near the Hospital Hill building.  

- The Treasurer's petty cash fund is frequently depleted and inadequate to efficiently serve the needs of the many departments requiring petty cash.   

- By increasing the Treasurer's petty cash fund to $1,500, better service can be offered to the departments and efficiency of the fund will be improved.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

Reduce the administration/maintenance cost of the petty cash fund.
