TOPIC:                       Space Allocation at 320 Hospital Drive

At a previous work session, the Board of Supervisors reviewed the allocation of space on the ground floor at 320 Hospital Drive to address the request of space from the Fauquier Free Clinic.  The Free Clinic provides direct services at the adjacent Health Department building, but, due to a continuing growth in services, there is not sufficient space for the volunteers, staff, records and materials.  Direct health care services will continue to be provided at the Health Department Building and it is most desirable for the support services to be located in close proximity.  A general layout of the ground floor is attached.

Following the previous work session, contact was made with the adjacent Warrenton Rescue Squad to determine if space might be available for the Free Clinic.  The Squad is not in a position to provide this space to the Free Clinic.

REQUESTED ACTION:

Approve the allocation of up to four hundred (400) square feet of space in the basement of the 320 Hospital Hill building for the Fauquier Free Clinic.

FINANCIAL IMPACTS ANALYSIS:

The allocation of space may impact future expansion needs of other County departments located at 320 Hospital Hill.
