Topic: 

A Work Session to Discuss the Contract with the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries for Maintenance and Operation of Concessions at Lake Brittle

Topic Description:

A work session is requested to review the current Concession Contract with the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (VDGIF).  The main topic is the re-appropriation of $32,000 to VDGIF for assistance to construct a new concession/restroom structure at Lake Brittle.  The Finance Committee is desirous of a discussion to address other issues at Lake Brittle, including the status of the proposed improvements to the existing concession structure, maintenance levels and security of the site, and usage/supervision after hours.  A background paper on these items is attached.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Conduct a work session.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

Additional funding needed will be approximately $55,000.
