Fauquier County’s adopted
Personnel Policy Section 51 (“Travel Policy And Procedures”)
requires Board of Supervisors’ approval when expenses for
travel will exceed $1,000. The Department of Community
Development requests approval for the County Soil Scientist
to attend training at the 13th Annual Technical
Education Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The
training available includes innovative wastewater systems
and technology, re-use, recycling and reclaiming wastewater.
The conference is intended to assist in County efforts
resolving failing drainfields in Catlett and Calverton, and
sewer efforts in Midland. Training costs are $650, lodging
and meals are estimated at $475 and travel costs are
estimated at $305, totaling $1,700. The training will take
place November 7-10, 2004. Funds are available through the
utility fund (Catlett/Calverton). The attached resolution
would approve the requested travel and related expenses. |
