A Work Session to Consider the Approval of a Fauquier County Targeted Business Review Process

Topic Description:

During the 2009 Board of Supervisor Retreat on Economic Development, the Board expressed the desire to establish an approval process for business applications to Fauquier County to be known as a Targeted Business Review Process. The process will allow the Board of Supervisors to establish a list of targeted business categories they feel is appropriate for Fauquier County. The Department of Economic  Development will function as the lead agency for determining if a business applicant meets the established criteria for being designated a “targeted” business and will be responsible as the “point of contact” with the applicant.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Conduct the work session.
