Topic: 

A Resolution Authorizing the County Administrator to Sign a Lease with Blaze Broadband for Space Within the County’s Equipment Building Located at the Vint Hill Tower

Topic Description:

The County of Fauquier has, by separate agreement with Vint Hill Economic Development Authority, constructed a communications tower equipment building located at the base of the Vint Hill Economic Development Authority’s telecommunications tower.  Blaze Broadband has requested that the County lease to a portion of the building necessary to install and operate a standard network equipment rack to house networking equipment.  The lease is necessary for Blaze Broadband to house its broadband equipment which will facilitate Broadband services to the citizens of the County.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

The lease will bring in a diminimus amount of revenue but will offset part of the development costs for the construction of the equipment building facility.
