A Resolution to Abate the Administrative Permit Fee for the Fauquier Aero Recreation Modelers

 

Topic Description: 

The Fauquier Aero Recreation Modelers has requested abatement of the Administrative Permit application fee associated with a charity fundraising event that is to be held on October 4, 2008.

 

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors:

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

 

Financial Impact Analysis:

The requested abatement amount is $150.00.

 

Staff Report:

The Fauquier Aero Recreation Modelers is currently seeking approval of an administrative permit for a charity fundraising event to be held on October 4, 2008 at Lake Ritchie. The event is being held to raise money for Pilots for Christ International, a non-profit group, and has been held at Lake Ritchie for the past three years.

Fauquier County has offered its support of this project in the past by waiving the administrative permit application fee associated with the previous three events. To reduce the expense associated with the cost of the administrative permit and thereby allow these funds to be contributed to their selected charity, the Fauquier Aero Recreation Modelers has requested abatement of the $150.00 fee for the administrative permit application.
