Topic:  

A Resolution to Participate as a Region with the Towns of Remington and The Plains in the Development of the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality’s Mandated Water Supply Plan

Topic Description: 

Pursuant to the Code of Virginia, Title 9 VAC 25-780 Local and Regional Water Supply Planning, Fauquier County is required to develop a Water Supply Plan. The Board of Supervisors  is requested to adopt a resolution to be submitted to the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality by November 2, 2008 to express its intent to produce a Regional Water Supply Plan with the towns of Remington and The Plains.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

At this time the Regional Water Supply Plan will be developed and produced by existing staff resources located within the three jurisdictions and partner agencies.
