RESOLUTION A Resolution Initiating a Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment to AMEND ARTICLE 8, Signs, OF THE FAUQUIER COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE IN ITS ENTIRETY WHEREAS, it is appropriate to amend Article 8, Signs, of the Zoning Ordinance to update its content and clarify outstanding issues regarding its interpretation; and WHEREAS, the existing regulations contained in Article 8 were generally adopted in 1981, and have been amended in part since their adoption but never in their entirety; and WHEREAS, the amendment of Article 8 of the Zoning Ordinance supports good zoning practice, convenience and the general welfare; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 11th day of September 2008, That the Board does hereby initiate an amendment to amend Article 8, Signs, of the Zoning Ordinance in its entirety.
