A Resolution to Authorize the County Administrator to Execute a Memorandum of Understanding with the Fauquier SPCA, Inc.

Topic Description:

The SPCA has requested a significant capital contribution to complete the construction of an intake building which will permit the SPCA to serve as the County pound.  The County in exchange for the contribution has requested that the SPCA agree to permit the continued use of the facility for a period sufficient to permit the County to recoup its investment in the facility.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

The SPCA has requested $400,000 to complete the intake building, and the request will be presented to the Finance Committee and Board in the coming months.  This Memorandum of Understanding is a component of the request and formalizes the use by the County of the facility for which the funding would be provided.
