Topic: 

A Resolution Requesting the Virginia General Assembly to Authorize Fauquier County to Request from the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) the Development of a Special License Plate Commemorating Fauquier County’s 250^th Anniversary

Topic Description:

On May 1, 2009, Fauquier County will celebrate its 250^th anniversary.  The Board of Supervisors would like to request the DMV to develop a special commemorative license plate for this occasion.  DMV advises that a resolution from the Virginia General Assembly is required for this purpose.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
