A Resolution Directing the County Administrator to Schedule a Public Hearing to Consider an Ordinance to Classify Real Property Owned by The Plains Community League as Exempt from Real Property Taxation

Topic Description:

In order to facilitate the charitable purposes of The Plains Community League, the owners have requested that Fauquier County designate the property as exempt from real property taxation, as authorized by Section 8-71 of the Fauquier County Code.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution

Financial Impacts Analysis:

The property is assessed at $476,600.
