A Resolution to Receive the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board and Area Agency on Aging FY 2008 Performance Contract with the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services and the Area Plan For Aging Services  

Topic Description:

Brian Duncan, Executive Director of Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board Area Agency on Aging (RRCSB-AAA), will present the 2008 Program Plan for Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board Area Agency on Aging (RRCSB-AAA) operations for citizens who are elderly and those with disabilities related to mental illness, mental retardation, and substance abuse problems. A summary of the services provided and Board objectives for Fiscal Year 2008 is attached.   In June 2006, this plan was reviewed and approved by the full RRCSB-AAA Board of Directors.

The County is also asked to consider approving a resolution acknowledging their receipt and review of this plan.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Conduct a work session.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

The RRCSB-AAA requested $323,035 in local tax funding for Fiscal Year 2008 based on a per capita of $4.97 and 2005 population data.  The Board approved funding at $303,624.
