A Resolution Approving Travel Expenses in Accordance with Travel Policy and Procedures – Parks and Recreation

Topic Description:

Fauquier County’s adopted Personnel Policy Section AP-06 (“Travel Policy and Procedures”) requires Board of Supervisors’ approval where expenses for travel will exceed $1,000.  The Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting approval for the Southern Region Superintendent, Michael Hanson, to attend the second year of the Supervisors Management School at Oglebay Park, West Virginia, from November 5-9, 2006.  The costs are estimated to be approximately $1,140.  Attendance will complete this program of training for Mr. Hanson and will provide information of significant value to the Department and County.  The attached resolution will authorize approval of the requested travel and related expenses.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

Funds were budgeted to support such training as part of the FY 2007 budget process.
