Topic:             

A Resolution Authorizing the Revision of Selected Human Resources Policies 

Topic Description:

The Fauquier County Human Resources Policy Manual is being reviewed in its entirety for necessary updates and revisions.  Part of this review entails grouping related policies to eliminate duplication, removing policies from the manual that are administrative in nature or obsolete, and providing a logical sequencing and retrieval of information.  To this end, the following policies have been revised:

                                    Policy 17 – Employee Performance Evaluation   

                                    Policy 25 – Resignations and Separations

It is recommended that the following policies be abolished:

                                    Policy 18 – Fauquier County Hazard Communication Committee

                                    Policy 20 – Departmental Safety Committee

These revisions and recommendations have received the endorsement of the Personnel Committee.     

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors:

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
