Homeland Security Equipment Grant

Fauquier
County
has received
notification from the Virginia Department of Emergency Management
that
Fauquier
County
has been allocated
$54,175. Eligible
grant categories include a number of areas to assist first
responders. The County’s application requested funds for radio
equipment for the 800 MHz system ($51,520) and a Biotech meter for
the Sheriff’s office ($3,195).
The grant award process
requires that the Board designate an agent to complete the
application process. Attached
is the resolution authorizing the
County
Administrator
to execute the grant agreement.
