Topic Description:
|
|
The County Soil Scientist
has requested authorization to attend the annual National On-Site
Wastewater Recycling Association conference in
Franklin
,
TN
(south of
Nashville
).
This is the premier wastewater treatment conference in the
nation and the County Soil Scientist office staff has previously
attended and last year presented a paper at this conference. This
year’s theme is “Decentralized Systems- The Changing World of
Wastewater Treatment”. This
is particularly relevant since the County is working with a number
of community systems and has an interest in learning more about
the proper operation and maintenance of these systems.
It benefits the County to be informed of new technology
that is available for small (less than 1 mgp) on-site systems.
The total cost for the conference is $1,605.00.
This includes registration $450.00, lodging $580.00, meals
$225.00, and travel $350.00 (airfare).
