PROCLAMATION

A PROCLAMATION TO HONOR AMBASSADOR RICHARD NOYES VIETS

UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS DEPARTURE FROM THE

LORD FAIRFAX COMMUNITY COLLEGE BOARD

            WHEREAS, Richard Noyes Viets currently resides in The Plains, Virginia; and

            WHEREAS, Richard Noyes Viets graduated from the University of Vermont and has attended Harvard, Georgetown University and American University ; and           

            WHEREAS, Richard Noyes Viets is a retired career Diplomat and has served on the Boards of Georgetown University Foreign Services School and Smithsonian Conservation Research Center ; and

            WHEREAS, in 2000, the Lord Fairfax Community College appointed Ambassador Viets to the Board;  now, therefore, be it

            PROCLAIMED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 15th day of September 2003, That the Board does hereby congratulate Richard Noyes Viets upon the occasion of his departure from the Board of the Lord Fairfax Community College; and, be it

            PROCLAIMED FURTHER, That the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors extends its best wishes to Richard Noyes Viets in all future endeavors.
