A Public Hearing to Consider an Ordinance to Classify Personal Property Owned by Middle East Ministries Exempt From Taxation

Topic Description:

Middle East Ministries has requested that its property be declared exempt from taxation.  Prior to adopting an ordinance which declares the property of a charity exempt from taxation, the Board must conduct a public hearing.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider the adoption of the attached Ordinance declaring the property of Middle East Ministries exempt from taxation.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

The fiscal impact of this action based upon the current assessment and tax rate would be approximately $67.51 at the current personal property tax rate.
