RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF DEVELOPMENT RIGHTS ON THE FRANK C. OTT, JR. FARM WHEREAS, on February 19, 2002, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors adopted the Purchase of Development Rights (PDR) Program to acquire conservation easements for the purpose of protecting agriculture, providing open space, and ameliorating the impact of development on the County; and WHEREAS, on December 13, 2007, the Purchase of Development Rights on the Frank C. Ott, Jr. farm was approved by the Board of Supervisors; and WHEREAS, Mr. Ott had a survey of the farm completed that indicated additional acreage; and WHEREAS, on September 10, 2008, the Fauquier County Zoning office issued a revised Subdivision Determination letter which indicates one additional development right is available on this property; and WHEREAS, the Purchase of Development Rights Committee has reviewed this request and recommends approval by the Board of Supervisors; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 9th day of October 2008, That the County Administrator be, and is hereby, authorized to execute the purchase of one additional Development Right in the amount of $30,000.00 on the Frank C.
