PROCLAMATION
A PROCLAMATION TO DECLARE OCTOBER 2008 WHEREAS, the Federal Government of the United States of America recognizes the tremendous potential of individuals with disabilities and seeks to encourage all Americans to work toward full integration and inclusion of disabled persons in the community; and WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Virginia has formed Disability Services Boards to further advance the inclusion of its disabled citizens; and WHEREAS, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors appoints a Disability Services Board to identify needed services and make recommendations to the State and Local Governments; and WHEREAS, the Disability Services Board has coordinated events in October for increasing the awareness of disability related services available in Fauquier County; now, therefore, be it PROCLAIMED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 9th day of October 2008, That the month of October be, and is hereby, declared Disability Awareness Month.
