The Reassessment Project within the Commissioner of the
Revenue’s Office will commence on July 1, 2008. Prior to
the commencement of the project, a Request for
Proposal (RFP)
will be issued that incorporates many of the recommendations
from the 2006 Board of Assessors. This document will be
prepared and reviewed by the Reassessment Coordinator.
Office space will need to be procured and outfitted in
coordination with the General Services Department, the
Information Technology Department, and to a lesser extent,
the Commissioner of the Revenue Office. It is imperative
that a single point of contact be designated as early as
possible so that identified requirements can be programmed
into the work load of the affected agencies.
The position is to be established for a 2 year period. The
position responsibilities include
planning, organizing and directing reassessment
functions; researching, evaluating and selecting appraisal
firm; interpreting and ensuring compliance with all
federal, state and local policies, procedures, rules,
regulations, laws and standards; preparing, administering
and monitoring department budget
This position will be reallocated to the Information
Technology Department, therefore, increasing the
department’s Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) by one position. |
