A Resolution to Award the Tax Sheltered Annuities 403(b) and Employee Deferred Compensation 457(b) Retirement Programs Contract to VALIC Retirement Services Company

Topic Description:

Attached is the presentation that was presented to the Board of Supervisors and the School Board at their individual Work Sessions on October 11, 2007 and October 8, 2007, respectively.

It is the recommendation of the selection committee to award the contract for Tax Sheltered Annuities 403(b) / Employee Deferred Compensation 457(b) program contract to VALIC Retirement Services Company. 

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors:

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Fiscal Impact Analysis:

Effective January 1, 2008, all eligible employees of the County Government and the School Division who wish to participate can begin to defer pre-tax funds to the new program.

Identify any other Departments, Organizations or Individuals that would be affected by this request:

All departments and employees.
