A Resolution to Award a Contract for Repairs and Roof Replacement at the Warren Green Building

 

Topic Description:

Bids have been requested for the replacement of three roof areas and related repairs at the Warren Green Building.

Work includes, but is not limited to: replacement of approximately 3,200 square feet of existing slate roofing, gutters and downspouts; replacement of approximately 120 square feet of existing EPDM roofing and roof hatch; and, replacement of approximately 1,250 square feet of existing standing seam metal roofing with new copper standing seam roofing and new roof drains and downspouts. There are also three alternate bid items included with the bid, which consist of replacement of the existing slate roof with a new copper standing seam roof; replacement of approximately 1,600 square feet of existing EPDM single ply roofing with a new tapered EPDM roofing system, to include new leader boxes and downspouts; and, installation of a below grade drainage system to connect the new downspouts to an existing below grade system.

The bids are scheduled to be opened on October 5, 2007, and will be reviewed by Facilities Planning and Implementation Committee (FPIC) members prior to the Board of Supervisorsí meeting.

 

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
