A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT COUNTY RESIDENTS EMPLOY VOLUNTARY WATER CONSERVATION PRACTICES
WHEREAS, the drought conditions in Fauquier County are prolonged and persistent in the last several weeks; and
WHEREAS, Fauquier County has received considerably less than normal rainfall amounts this calendar year; and
WHEREAS, Fauquier County has been declared a Drought Disaster Area by the Governor of Virginia; and
WHEREAS, Fauquier County residents may employ voluntary water usage restraint through various water conservation techniques recommended by the Fauquier County Water and Sanitation Authority; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 11th of October 2007, That Fauquier County residents be, and are hereby, requested to employ the voluntary water conservation practices promulgated by the Fauquier County Water and Sanitation Authority in order to preserve this natural and necessary resource until the drought ends and aquifers are recharged.
