Topic: 

A Resolution to Approve Additional Funding for the Purchase of Development Rights on Cool Lawn Farms, LLC.

Topic Description:

The Board of Supervisors approved funding in the amount of 390,000 for the purchase of development rights on Cool Lawn Farms, LLC on January 12, 2006.  Subsequently the landowner requested that the county review the number of development rights on the two parcels in the PDR application.  Review by the Zoning Administrator and County Attorney determined that there were three additional parcels of record, resulting in three additional development rights.  This brings the total number of development rights to be sold to sixteen.  An additional $90,000 is requested to fund the purchase on the three additional development rights.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

Cool Lawn Farms, LLC will receive a total of $480,000 for the sale of sixteen development righs on 263 acres. $390,000 was previously approved. $90,000 additional is requested.
