Topic:  A Resolution to Receive the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board’s FY 2005 Performance Contract with the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse Services and the Area Plan for Aging Services

Topic Description:

During its work session on August 16, 2004, the Board of Supervisors received a presentation on the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board and Area Agency on Aging (RRCSB-AAA) Performance Contract and Area Plan for services to be provided during Fical Year 2005.  At the conclusion of this presentation, Board members had the opportunity to make comments and ask questions of RRCSB-AAA Executive Director, Brian Duncan.  The proposed resolution acknowledges this opportunity for comment and input.  The resolution also validates the approval of the full RRCSB-AAA Board of Directors in June 2004 with the  approval of all three Fauquier appointees to the RRCSB-AAA Board.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

Fauquier County has planned appropriations to the RRCSB-AAA for Fiscal Year 2005 in the amount of $248,126 in support of planned services.

Identify any other Departments, Organizations or Individuals that would be affected by this request:

No other agencies are directly affected by this request; however, the RRCSB-AAA coordinates its services with various departments of County Government (Social Services, Schools) and other Health and Human Services agencies within the County (Health Department, etc.).
