Topic: 

A Resolution to Increase the Tipping Fee for Construction and Demolition Debris from $30.00 a Ton to $38.00 a Ton

Topic Description:

Fauquier County has periodically raised the tipping fee for Construction and Demolition Debris when volumes increase above the projected level of 500 tons a day.  A summary of previous rates is shown below:

It is suggested that the fee be raised to $38.00 a ton effective November 1, 2004.  This increase will raise the Construction and Demolition Debris fee to the rate charged for solid waste.

 

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

It is estimated that the fee adjustment will generate additional income in the amount of $ 715,000 for the balance of FY 2005.
