A Resolution Authorizing the Addition of a Part-time Permanent Office Associate I Position

Topic Description:

Previously, the Office of the County Administrator utilized the services of a part-time temporary receptionist position.  Over time, the position has evolved, to include performing functions such as answering phones, processing mail, generating correspondence, organizing files and other associated clerical work.  The provision of these functions has been identified as vital and represents an on-going need for the Office of the County Administrator .  Accordingly, a request is made to the Board of Supervisors for the addition of a part-time permanent Office Associate I position.        

This request has received the endorsement of the Personnel Committee.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors:

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Fiscal Impact:

There are no financial impacts.  Funding for this position will be obtained from the Board of Supervisors and County Administration FY 2004 budgets.
