A Resolution Authorizing the Creation of a Career Ladder for the Planning Division of the Department of Community Development

Topic Description:

The Department of Community Development requests authorization to implement a career ladder in the Planning Division to afford employees career opportunities and assist with retention of trained and experienced staff.  The career ladder would provide a foundation for employees to advance through the levels of Planning Associate, Planner, Planner II, and Senior Planner as identified criteria are met.             

This request has received the endorsement of the Personnel Committee.

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

The Department will absorb any costs associated with this request.
