A Resolution to Amend the FY 2004-2008 Capital
Improvements Program (CIP)
|
|
Topic Description:
|
|
During its
September 15, 2003
public hearing on the Raymond Farm rezoning issue, the Board of
Supervisors discussed a proposed proffer of land and buildings.
The Code of Virginia states that to accept cash, land space
or structures for public use through a proffer, they must be
related to projects in ad adopted capital plan prior to
acceptance. To provide
the Board of Supervisors greater flexibility in consideration of
the Raymond Farm rezoning issue, staff was directed to schedule a
public hearing on amending the FY2004-2008 Capital Improvements
Program. The amendment
would be for a park at the intersection of Route 605 and 29,
adjacent to Rick Hunt Ford. This
amendment is highlighted on the attached chart.
The $525,000 represents the assessed value of approximately
27 acres of land and a capital outlay ($105,000) to construction a
limited use park.
