Board of Supervisorsí discussion regarding the potential  to locate a Fauquier County Visitor Center at the Raymond Farm property at Route 29 and Route 605, and the potential to establish a Satellite Information Center at Monroe Park in Goldvein on Route 17.


Topic Description:

The Chamber of Commerce will cease operating the Warrenton/Fauquier County Visitor Center at the end of FY 2004.  The Board of Supervisors will discuss the establishment of a Fauquier County Visitor Center to replace the Visitor Center currently operated by the Chamber of Commerce. Consideration will be given to locating the main Visitor Center on the major transportation corridor of Route 29 in Fauquier County , and locating a Satellite Information Center on the major transportation corridor of Route 17, to better serve the traveling public visiting Fauquier County .

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider for discussion the Visitor Center and Information Center .
