RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION MANIFESTING THE WILLINGNESS OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO WORK WITH THE TOWN OF REMINGTON ON MUTUALLY AGREEABLE CHANGES TO THE BOUNDARIES OF THE TOWN

            WHEREAS, the Town of Remington has previously expressed interest in expansion of the boundaries of the Town; and

            WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors recognizes the benefits attendant to having viable and dynamic towns within Fauquier County ; and

            WHEREAS, by the adoption of this resolution, the Board of Supervisors manifests its willingness to work with the Town of Remington on matters related to the adjustment of boundaries of the Town; now, therefore, be it

            RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 20^th day of October 2003, That the Board does hereby state its willingness to work with the Town of Remington on mutually agreeable changes to the boundaries of the Town; and, be it

            RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Lee District Supervisor, County Administrator, Director of Community Development and the County Attorney are appointed to work with such individuals and officials as the Town Council for the Town of Remington shall appoint to identify: (a) proposed areas to be adjusted into the Town; (b) conditions for adjusting the boundary; (c) the process to be used in adjusting the boundary; and (d) such other matters related to the proposed boundary adjustment as the Committee shall see fit.
