Topic:            

A Resolution to Authorize Right-of-Way Dedication to the Virginia Department of Transportation  (VDOT): Airport Project-Relocation of a Portion of Route 648

Topic Description:

As a part of the Warrenton-Fauquier Airport runway reconstruction and extension, it is necessary to relocate a portion of Route 648 to comply with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) guidelines.  The reconstruction of this portion of Route 648 is included in the Phase One Improvement contract recently awarded.  A plat has been prepared that provides Virginia Department of Transportation approximately 2.6 acres of property for the relocation of the street.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors

Consider adoption of attached resolution.

Fiscal Impact:

Funds have been provided for the relocation of this segment of Route 648 as a part of the Phase One Improvement grant.
